802 Toyota - Automotive Service Technician

SUMMARY:
Life as a Professional Automotive Service Technician at 802 Toyota means more than showing up to work to "fix" cars. As a Professional Service Technician, you will assist us in creating "Customers For Life" by providing the highest level of service possible. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete all required training and continue your education!
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Complete an MPI (Multi-Point INspection) on each and every vehicle.
  • Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
  • Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Toyota experience and or ASE certifications a plus!
  • Fast, eager learner and team player
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new applications and software
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Clean driving record & valid driver's license

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician
  • At least 1 year of experience working on Toyota vehicles

802 Toyota - Toyota Service Advisor

SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Service Advisor position is to maximize Service Department performance by effectively selling labor and parts to vehicle owners. Consistent with this purpose, the Service Advisor maintains dealership standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greets customer and obtains customer and vehicle information and mileage
  • Determines general nature of repairs needed and writes a clear description of customer needs on the repair order
  • Walks around vehicle with customer noting any damage. Also points out other repairs or maintenance for which the customer has a need
  • Provides customer with estimated repair costs and anticipated time of completion
  • Test-drives vehicles as time permits
  • Verifies intended method of payment.
  • Obtains customer signature on repair order
  • Sends repair order to be dispatched and maintains contact with technicians throughout the workday
  • Calculates estimates on technician found repairs and notifies customer of these needs
  • Notifies customer when repairs are completed
  • Delivers vehicle to customer at pick-up, reviews work performed and multi-point inspection results
  • Attends periodic department meetings
  • Compiles and prepares reports as requested
  • Clears snow from in front of service doors and off of service customer cars when necessary
  • Provide preliminary estimates on work orders
  • Answer phones, collect customer info and make appointments
  • Other duties as assigned
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Outgoing and friendly personality
  • Comfortable interacting and dealing with the public; Must have a professional appearance
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks and fulfilling several obligations at once
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Two years experience in an automotive dealership or independent repair facility. General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations
  • Proficient with gmail/google docs and able to operate computer based systems. Experience with automotive DMS systems preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing between 10 and 25 pounds
  • Ability to drive cars and trucks; some with manual transmission

  • Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Enthusiasm and high energy throughout the sales workday
  • Friendly, competitive personality, especially when handling objections & negotiating pricing
  • Strong customer service, communication skills, computer and basic math skills
  • Interest in training additional sales associates once you get up to speed, and working in a teamenvironment
